Description
It is with a heavy heart and a very difficult decision that I am looking for a new home for my girls. It hurts very much to do so, however with changes in my life happening I simply won't have the time and space for them anymore. I would like them to go to a home that can give them care and time they deserve.
Minty (black) and Coriander/Cori (brown) are two shy but sweet girls. They were abandoned outside of a Petco I worked out late last year, so their ages and histories are unknown. As guinea pigs are prey animals, they are quite skittish but have been making great progress recently. Cori is the more outgoing of the two, while Minty would rather keep to herself. Both girls are currently very shy but with some patience, food and love I know they will blossom.
The girls will come with some of their items, such as their food bowls, some hay, their hidey houses and cuddle cups, their water bottles, a bag of food, some chew toys and your choice of fleece liners or a bag of bedding. (Fleece liners are more environmentally conscious but require a washer and dryer, bedding is more convenient but reauires more cleaning). The only thing they do not come with is their cage.
I am seeking someone patient and willing to work with them. Experience with guinea pigs or other small animals is preferred, but not required. Research is a must. I would prefer not to rehome to home with young children under 8 years old, unless they have had previous experiences with small animals.
I am located in Cedarhurst of NY. Pickup is preferred as I do not currently drive. Delivery within the Five Towns may be possible. There is a rehoming fee of $30.
