Bachata Fuego represents the movement to grow the Bachata Sensual and Urban Kiz scene! The International Movement Exchange is exactly what it sounds like. We are creating a platform to share these popular dances from around the world along with their historic backgrounds for a full grasp of culture and technique. Theres something about recognizing the journey of a dance that impacts the way we move and appreciate styles. Welcome to the International Movement Exchange. This event is for dancers looking to deepen their cultural and technical understanding of these international dances. The following is a description of what is to be expected this November. The schedule is TBA Tickets will be sold to an even ratio of leads to follows. Classes will be open to all dancers to participate. Dancers will be separated into groups based on dance level during the workshops. There will be an opportunity to schedule private lessons on Sunday of this event. Friday: workshop and welcome party Saturday: workshops and evening social Sunday: Private lessons and TBA Classes: Lead/follow technique for all styles: We will kick off the classes with an exploration of what it means to partner dance taught by Natasha! We will explore improvisation, weight transfer, and connection. Bachata Dominicana: To dance Bachata Sensual well, we must have an understanding of the mother dance. We will learn about the history and culture of Bachata and explore the roots of this dance. Bachata Sensual: We are bringing Bachata Sensual certified International instructor Linda Saenz from DC for intermediate and advanced Bachata Sensual training! Kizomba: There is a lot to unpack around Urban Kiz, Kizomba fusion, Kiz, and Kizomba. Find out in this class. We are excited to bring Kizomba Vibes to take us back to the origin of Kizomba dance. We will learn about the history and fundamental techniques of this dance. Urban Kiz: This style, influenced by Kizomba, tango, hip-hop and more has arrived to the USA and who better to show us the way than Tin-Man from New York!
