Description

This month is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month and The Learning Project Network is excited to announce that we will be working on another project based community project that is focused on, how can communities provide Mental Health Resources in a different way? Only evidence-based but culturally based. In this event we will be having opportunities for people to engage in different types of care such as movement, yoga, music and conversation circles. We decided to use a beautiful space that not only represents the beauty of people, but also the work that must be done. Healing is a big part of developing a healthy community. I want to challenge us to come out together and heal together. This event is definitely going to be focusing on minorities, but anyone is welcome to come into the space of healing. We want our conversations to shape the way we see each other's humanity and how we are striving to not only grow, but connect. This will be an event that has some structure, but it's also laid back. It is meant for a time of rest, it's meant for a choice and it is also meant for time for connection. At this event you'll be able to enjoy wine, food and healthy beverages that will be (provided by Spokane W.I.N. Club). We will also have a black-owned masseuse giving people a little relaxation (provide be Koala Message). We will dive into self care with two amazing beauticians MEME and Stephaine Tullos. And there will be so much more. We are also hoping to add space for teenagers who need this connection. This event is free, but feel free to give donations at the event. You'll be able to purchase services and different materials to help you work towards your freedom to a healthier mental health. If you would like to be a part of this community movement DM me to get more details.
