Description
Coffee and light refreshments will be served. Audience: This training is intended for staff providing child care during the parent group meetings of the Early Kindergarten Transition (EKT) Program. Individuals providing child care for SUN Community School events and classes during the school year are also welcome to attend. Please join us for an in person workshop to learn new ways to keep everyone having a great time during EKT Child Care. Bring a mask to wear if you feel more comfortable with one on around others. The training will cover setting up space, fun activities and tips for behavior management and how to support a mixed age group. EKT Child Care will be many children's first experience in a school building -we want to give you tools to help everyone be successful! This is a free workshop, and participants will receive a bin to bring back to the school with a variety of supplies and materials associated with activities discussed in the workshop for use during EKT child care sessions (1 bin per school). This is a voluntary training and child care staff should talk with the SUN Site Manager at their school about compensation (generally training hours would be part of any allotted EKT planning time). You are registering to attend the EKT Childcare Training held on Monday, July 11, 2022 9:00 AM-12:00 PM at Humboldt Gardens Apartments| Community Room.
