Description

Every great story waiting to be told begins with a big question. How are we going to get it funded? Non-fiction filmmaking is more popular than ever, and the path to success relies on a maze of potential funding opportunities; from investors to grants, corporate partnerships and foundations, and crowdfunding. Matching the right kind of funding for the right film, and timing for the project, is key to moving a film forward and happens in many different ways. We’ll learn from a set of real examples by local filmmakers who will present on successfully funded recent projects while discussing trends, opportunities, and challenges in the field. Moderated by Sara Archambault, Producer (RIOTSVILLE, USA) Arch + Bow Films Meet the Presenters Dan Habib - Director / Producer; MY DISABILITY ROADMAP, INTELLIGENT LIVES Kathryn Dietz - Director / Producer; KABOOM!
