The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine invite you to join workshop participants and members of the consensus committee for the Managed Retreat in the U.S. Gulf Coast Region study’s third regional workshop, part two. This part of the third workshop will be held on July 28, 2022, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm CT, at the Bayou Terrebonne Waterlife Museum located at 7910 W Park Ave, Houma, LA 70364.
Community members will be invited to participate in a discussion to share their displacement and relocation stories and experiences in the context of the study and allow committee members to learn about the challenges and needs of strategic climate adaptation. Committee members will also have the opportunity to hear from local leaders and organizations to learn more about the implications of equity in the context of social and environmental change.
