Sara Eddy is a marvelous poet and teacher who also happens to keep bees.
She first began beekeeping at a difficult time in her life. Regarding this challenging transitional moment, one of her poems asserts, "I've got 20,000 bees and hope."
Come enjoy this very special evening with Sara, via Zoom, together with other community members in our bookstore. It's part of a larger "Summer Lights" program at Tweetspeak Poetry, where they highlight the work of a poet who is with a Press other than their own. (Please note: There is a separate registration link for those who wish to join directly via Zoom from their homes.)
Sara is their 2022 Summer Lights poet!
For this special evening, she'll read poems from her mini-chapbook, put out by The A3 Press: Tell the Bees.
She'll answer your questions about beekeeping + reading or writing poetry.
She'll inspire your life.
If you are local in Ossining, NY, you can enjoy this event alongside friends and new acquaintances (Sara will be "Zoomed" in to the store), down at Hudson Valley Books for Humanity. We'll serve light refreshments to our in-person attendees. You can also enjoy bee-themed experiences and items at other fabulous Ossining destinations all week following our Tell the Bees event—from August 5-12:
Melita's Home will be offering local honey, honey-comb style stemware, pollinator note cards, bee-art tea towels and more.
Penny & Ting will be your destination for baby & children's bee-themed books and toys.
First Village Coffee? Luis is making up a honey-sweet recipe for the week's confections!
If you are local in Northampton, MA, you can find copies of Sara's books available for the event at: Broadside Books.
