We're on the road this month! Join us for a field trip luncheon to the beautiful Westminster Village Retirement Community campus, located at 5801 W. Bethel Ave. in Muncie. The dynamic Dorica Watson, president of WIBU, will be our speaker (see info below). All the WIBU meeting features you love and expect will be included (booths, door prizes, community announcements, sponsor presentation) and will be a bit shorter so we have time to tour the facility. You'll find plenty of parking; enter the building labeled Legacy Commons Event Hall, and you will be directed to the luncheon room. Note that masks are not required in the meeting hall, but will be required, along with completing a brief screening form, to enter the common space to use the restroom. Dorica's presentation topic is "After the Bend." If we have heard it once, we have heard it a thousand times … “Be the cheerleader, help out where needed, prioritize work, make exceptions, prioritize family, don’t be too emotional, don’t be cold-hearted, don’t appear to be weak, let it slide this time, don’t let them walk all over you, be a team player, smile ... I am just asking you to bend a little!” Each individual remark may seem inconsequential, but hearing these mixed messages over and over again in totality shows just how neverending (and exhausting) bending without breaking really is.
