Join us as we celebrate the culmination of our Summer farm-to-table & food sustainability program!
Over the past five weeks, 53 students from the Sophie's Scholars program, have rotated through garden and kitchen classes where they have gained a holistic understanding of food systems and learned practical and creative skills in the kitchen and beyond. In the final two weeks of the five week program, students were split into groups, and competed in a design challenge to produce a sellable food product, which will be showcased at our LEMO Farmer's Market. All products "for sale" at the market consist of harvested items from our garden, which students have grown from seed to harvest!
Upon arrival, consider making a donation to the LEMO Foundation (a 501(c)3) in exchange for "LEMO Bucks" which can be used as purchasing power at the students farm stands. In addition, your donation will get you an exclusive LEMO Farmers Market canvas tote, which will be perfect to carry all your goodies throughout the market!
There will be a variety of student run booths, delicious food & boba, fun games, music, & a robotics petting zoo (also created by the kids in our five week summer program!) It is a perfect Saturday morning activity for all, and a great way to bring the community together!
So bring your family & friends for a fun day where we celebrate with good food, great company, and a shared mission to support our students and our food systems!
**The event is free to attend! All we ask is for you to RSVP so we are able to prepare food and swag bags accordingly**
DON'T EXPECT TO ACCOMPLISH YOUR DREAMS IF YOU'RE NOT WILLING TO HELP OTHERS ACCOMPLISH THEIRS.
