As part of our "Community Bridges" workshop series, this 5th session will focus on the history and impact of the Yerevan/Armenian Justice Movement led by the Armenian Diaspora, a movement inspired by the Civil Rights Era, which advocated for equal rights and justice for the 1915 Armenian Genocide among individuals of Armenian descent.
During this workshop, we'll discuss the concept of "Justice", and how poetry and art can be part of healing communities. Participants will be guided through the process of crafting a poem influenced by the Civil Rights Era, the various movements for "Justice", and the concept of healing and empowerment.
All participants are invited to submit their creations for consideration to our "Community Bridges" print anthology, a book featuring artworks inspired by the Civil Rights Era and its impact on our community today. Individuals whose work is published will receive a free copy of the anthology upon its release in late-Summer/early-Fall 2022.

Note: This workshop will be an in-person event, and will follow appropriate Covid-19 precautions for in-person participation as per LA County guidelines.
