Description
16 year old
Gelding
Unsure breed but possible Quarter/Aztec mix
Around 15-16 hands
I am considering partial leasing of my 16 year old gelding. Due to my current schedule of working full time, he has not been getting ridden very much.
In his past he was trained on a working cattle ranch. He has moved cattle and has worked around the barrels a few times. He was then used as a trail horse taking people on rides along the beach for a few years. He has had some unofficial dressage training as well.
I would consider leasing him only to the perfect match for him. He would best suit a rider with an open mind who listens to the horse. He can be very lazy and can require a strong leg to get him to move forward. He can be the perfect horse to teach a beginner how to handle a more opinionated horse in the safest way. He has never bucked, reared or kicked. He has been ridden by many beginners and has taught them skills to improve their riding. He can also be perfect for an intermediate or advanced rider. Smooth trot and canter. If he likes your riding style, he is a dream to ride.
Due to his slow developing arthritis, I would consider someone who is looking to do some light/moderate riding. He is a dream in the arena and super experienced on the trail. Preferably no jumping but ground pole work may be considered.
He is currently housed at my house but would most likely be boarded at a local stable at time of lease. I would like to be present until trust is builded between horse and rider.
Message me for price and amount of days of lease
