Saturday, July 23 Summer House Concert with Baric Brothers 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. $10 per seat Sunderland Foundation Living Room – First Floor Space is limited. Tickets Required. Jim Baric first started training in accordion at the age of five. At the age of 10, Jim joined the St. John's Tamburitzans and began studying tamburica under the legendary Don Lipovac, who inspired Jim to continue studying the accordion even as he played string bass in the Sumner Academy Symphony Orchestra. He then auditioned for and was granted entrance into the Duquesne University Tamburitzans, where he also earned his degree in Music Education. Jim is the bandleader of Kolograd and one-half of the Baric Brothers and the tambura orchestra Hrvatski Obicaj. He recorded his first album in 2019. Joe Baric also began accordion lessons at the age of five. He joined the St. John's Tamburitzans as well. Joe attended the University of Kansas, where he studied philosophy and the Croatian language. He has played in numerous bands and groups over the years, performing in multiple genres, including punk, rock, country and Slavic music. He also performs in the bands Kolograd and the Baric Brothers with his brother as well as Hrvatski Obicaj.
