Maggie Pilacinski, also known as Beth's favorite daughter-just returned from a mission trip in Sierra Leone, West Africa, where she volunteered with Rural Health Care Initiative (RHCI) a MN based non-profit. The mission of the organization is to ensure basic health care to moms and children in one of the world's poorest countries. Maggie is eager to share the impacts she saw first hand to what providing medication and health interventions to communities in some of the most rural parts of Africa is like. This was Maggie's second time living in the "bush" of Africa where she saw the hardships of malnutrition to small children, and the obstacles pregnant women face when they are near delivery. Her passion is to share how far donations go to saving the lives of women and children who need it the most. Join us on Wednesday, July 13 from 7:00pm-9:00pm for an "Evening in Africa". Come to socialize with friends, view pictures, and learn more about how you can contribute to this lifesaving mission. Light hors d'oeuvres and drinks provided. Short information session begins at 7:30pm. Please RSVP as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.
