J&C Construction and Design is a small but rapidly growing Construction, Real Estate, and Property Management Company with large customers looking to grow and support a dedicated team of construction professionals. Qualifications: •The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of paint and drywall properties and other carpentry materials •Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation •Must be legally authorized to work in the United States •Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade •Thorough understanding of carpentry, drywall, and paint principles and methods •Works well as part of a team •Proven experience with paint and drywall •Hands-on experience in working with drywall and paint materials •Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction •Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.) •Ability to read technical documents and drawings •Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling •Must be able to lift 75 pounds at a time •Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment •Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains •Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination •Must be punctual and dependable •Ability to safely operate various vehicles and equipment Responsibilities are included but not limited to the following: •Your job will entail working in diverse settings to produce strong and functional products •Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential •The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting buildings and products •Duties include sealing joints, repairing damages, and painting walls and ceilings •This team member will work independently in clients’ homes and with our construction crew on site preparing for drywall and paint •To be successful tasks will be completed efficiently and with high quality work •The work will be with a team both indoors and outdoors •The ideal candidate will be able to understand visions, follow directions, and complete projects on time and budget •The goal is to deliver high-quality painting and drywall work •You will be performing physical tasks like loading and unloading materials, assembling and disassembling temporary structures; most importantly, you will be the skilled drywaller and painter •There are numerous job duties involving: tool use, lifting, carrying, managing, and working with people and equipment or machinery to execute the work on-site •Operate and care for construction equipment •Prep construction sites for deliveries and installations •Perform site clean-up •Performs various physical duties as assigned •Maintain all safety standards •Performs some specialized tasks which may require on-the-job training
