SOUTHFIELD, MI — A Dearborn woman is in trouble after police said she intentionally ran over a landscaper in Southfield on Tuesday. Police said the 50-year-old Dearborn woman is now facing a charge of assault with intent to murder after she intentionally struck a man and pinned him against a brick wall of a nearby home on Hilton Street near 10 Mile Road in Southfield. The 32-year-old landscaper from Warren was taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in stable condition, but suffered a broken pelvis and other leg injuries, according to a report. Witnesses told WXYZ the woman became irate after talking about pricing with the landscaping crew. "What I heard was that she trying to get some information from the landscaping crew. She got upset and the next thing she tried to do was just attack these, this crew," eyewitness Yossi Gottfried told the outlet. After she struck the landscaper and pinned him up against the wall, another witness told WDIV that she got out of the car and started pulling the landscaper's hair, before police intervened and arrested the woman. Southfield Police said they don't fully understand why the woman was so mad or why she was even in the neighborhood. "We don't know why," Southfield Police Deputy Chief Aaron Huguley said. "It appears to be unprovoked, but it's definitely deliberate and intentional. The victim has been taken to the local hospital. He's listed in stable condition."
