Laborer - Fabrication / Slab Storage

We are looking for a laborer to support our Slab Handler in the safe receiving, moving and storing of stone / granite / marble slabs. This role supports the Slab Handler by manually guiding slabs safely to their location. It is also responsible for maintaining the slab area clean and safe for employees and customers. Other duties may be assigned as required by the Slab Handler and/or Fabrication Shop Manager. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm each day. This is a full time position that is eligible for benefits on the first of the month after 60 days. To successfully complete this job you must be: • Able to clearly communicate including understanding and following multiple basic instructions and directions. • Able to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and correspondence. • Able to effectively use a tape measure to accurately measure materials (understand feet and inches). • Able to use basic hand tools including a hammer and chisel. • Able to stand and walk on your feet for the whole shift. • Able to work as a team to safely move slabs and materials. • Able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted. • Able to reach, pull, handle, grab with your hands and arms as needed. • Able to work outdoors for the majority of the shift.
