Depressed again

I don't know why this depression hits me so hard sometimes. Every few months I can't seem to get out of bed and horrible thoughts go through my head. I know I shouldn't be so weak minded. I'm a grown ass man with a family that depends on me but it still happens. What is the matter with me?
