pop-up camper conversion ideas

This is a long shot, but here goes. I'm hoping to find someone who may have experience removing the slide-outs of a pop-up camper and converting it to a hard-sided camper. Or better yet, I think a pop-up without the slide-outs would be best. That way I can still put the top back down when done camping. Don't know how long it would take or how much something like this would cost, but I'd like to check out the possibility. Thanks..
