The streets/rescue groups/shelters are OVERRUN with animals needing a new home. San Antonio Animal Care Services is euthanizing due to not enough space and the dogs/cats just keep marching through the door. The streets are being filled with homeless dogs/cats who fight to survive, for food/water, to avoid being hit by cars, having rocks, bricks, wood thrown at them. They get sick, injured and suffer without care. Rescue groups NEED fosters and donations to be able to take dogs off the streets. This is a CITY crisis, and needs a CITY answer. PLEASE if you can, FOSTER an animal until a forever home can be found. ITS FREE. The shelter/rescue group covers all the medical care and supplies. The pet usually stays no more than 4 weeks while a forever home is found. You've saved a life, really two. ADOPT from SAN ANTONIO ANIMAL SERVICES. Your new pet will have all the medical care completed. Fees are low or none. And you will save that animal from being KILLED. PLEASE Spay/neuter your pets. There are plenty of no cost/low cost SPAY/NEUTER CLINICS in San Antonio and BEXAR COUNTY. Keep your pet safe.
