Hi - My Name is Duke. I'm right at 1.5 years old. My foster dad who has been great with me rescued me when I was walking the streets of DT San Antonio. I actually was on N. Walters St. approaching the I-35 overpass. I was seen as confused and lost in the busy intersection so my foster George pulled in the middle of the intersection and called me over. I hesitated at first but on the second call I decided it was probably best that I run to him. Since then he took me in had me tested for heartworms which I was negative, he also had me neutered and vaccinated. I am very playful and goofy at times but also very smart as I really watch things going on around me. I like to play and at times, my foster dad says I remind him a little of Marmaduke the Dog. I sit well, I listen to some commands and am very very kind and gentle with other animals to include cats. I love chasing squirrels though. I would love to find a home with another dog if possible to help me pass time during the day. I don't bite or jump up on people as my foster dad taught me that it is not liked by humans. I'm a pretty fun loving dog and my dad has even said I have a pretty face, eyes and am an overall attractive dog. I would love to visit with my potential new furever parents to see if we may be a good fit. My foster dad has said he'd keep me forever if he could but he simply isn't home enough to give me the time and attention he deserves plus he has 2 dogs already named Maxx & Ruby which I will miss but they are older and just sleep a lot.
