We are looking for enthusiastic drivers to work local deliveries transporting wholesale tire orders from our warehouse to local customers. Be behind the wheel of well maintained, clean and modern equipment. Local routes, 1-30+ stops a day locally and always home at night. Primary Duties: · Safely delivers orders to customer locations via company light van per direction of Warehouse Manager. · Ensures all customer orders are pulled, packaged, staged, and/or loaded into vehicles accurately and securely. · Counts material to confirm ship/receive quantity of all deliveries. · Assists in loading and unloading trucks for delivery to our customers. * Unload product from vehicle by hand and place in designated customer storage areas. * Makes multiple customers stops and meets delivery schedule. * Collect customer payments when applicable * Conducts daily vehicle inspections and keeping vehicle neat. * Comply with company policies and procedures regarding vehicle operation, package delivery, payment collection and customer interaction. * Complies with all safety policies and procedures, and DOT and OSHA requirements. Secondary Duties: Other duties as needed on a daily basis. * Light duty work around the building when needed such as sweeping, trash and general cleanliness and assisting in warehouse needs. Qualifications: * Clean Driver's License record (REQUIRED) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Clean Driver's License record (REQUIRED) Minimum Requirements: * 1-2 years’ experience in a van or straight truck delivery vehicle preferred. * Route delivery experience a plus. * Face-to-face customer service experience preferred. * Required to have a current valid US Driver’s License. Clean Driver's License record (REQUIRED) Education and Experience: · High School Diploma or Equivalent Language Skills: · Proficient in English Reasoning Ability: * Ability to demonstrated excellent communication skills. · Must have good understanding of road rules and use of GPS. · Use Company provided ELD System for Driver Logs. · Receive and follow verbal and written instructions. · Ability to follow map routes and time schedule. * Knowledge of Jacksonville, Fl and surrounding areas. Other Skills: * Stay mentally sharp throughout your shift. * Problem resolution skills. * Be reliable and able to work independently. * Positive attitude, friendly, team player. Physical Requirements: * Must be comfortable with driving a box truck or light van. * Comfortable with all types of driving; City/highway/rural. * Comfortable working in all weather conditions. * Heavy Lifting - frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs 1-75 pounds unassisted. * Frequently reach up to 72" to stack and unstack product. * Constantly bend and twist while loading and unloading product, and retrieving items. * Frequently required to sit for 3 or more hours. * Frequently required to stand for 3 or more hours. * May include transporting product and use hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks.
