Description

I have a very sweet female cockatiel named Charli that I need to find a new home for. She was hatched at my house on October 5, 2017. She is sort of a cinnamon pied, in terms of coloration. I hand fed her and she is very tame. (Although she does NOT like my partner!) She loves affection and will let you give her lovies all day long. She lays eggs, about 3 at a time...I just take them away after a few days. She eats seed mix, and some ZuPreem pellets, and she'll nibble on just about anything. She likes Cheerios for a treat, also millet sprays. I try to limit the sunflower seeds. We don't cover her at night, but we have a sheet over part of her cage to protect her from a draft and she seems to like that. She has her cage, of course, but she is almost never locked into it and has pretty much freedom of movement. She doesn't fly very well because she was picked on by older siblings when she was very tiny and because of this, she doesn't grow out the last two flight feathers on each wing. She can fly, sort of, and does sometimes, but she doesn't seem to be confident in it, and she mainly just hangs out on this little ledge on her cage. Her siblings also messed with her feet, and because of this she's missing the very tips of a couple of her toes. This doesn't seem to affect her in any way, though -- she perches fine, hangs onto things fine, etc. Her future home must ensure that she gets to maintain her freedom; I don't want her caged up and unable to do what she wants. Comes with her cage and some food etc. so she can transition to her new home more easily. Please don't contact me unless you have lots of love and attention to give her, and will be home most of the time so she doesn't get lonely. And please don't contact me if you're needing a breeder, no way will I agree to that. A possible mate for a lonely young male, though? Maybe I might consider that. I love this little birdie and don't want to have to part with her but I have no choice. Please understand that I will be picky when choosing her new home. If you think you're right for her, please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. I will be posting some pics later.
