Description
Two Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd puppies, 5 months old, brother and sister. They belonged to a friend of ours who started having serious medical issues and couldn't take care of them anymore. We offered to take them, do some basic training, and find them homes. We'd keep them ourselves except we just don't have the room or the finances for long term fostering. Neither are fixed, and have had one round of at-home vaccines. *Asking a $50 rehoming fee for both or $25 each to recoup some costs of food* They grew up solely outside around their parents and other adults, and had exposure to some livestock, mostly goats and chickens. While we've had them, they've been largely indoor dogs, and we've been working on basic behavior, kennel, leash, and house training. Very friendly, just a little shy at first. They've been around older dogs, cats, and kids during their time here, and have done well with all, except for sometimes chasing the cats to play (just puppy things). The larger one, white body with black muzzle, is Bruno. The smaller one, cream body with black and white muzzle, is Sada (pronounced Say-duh) We gave them those names when we took them in a month ago, but I'm sure they would learn new names pretty quickly. Note: Their mom was papered Anatolian Shepherd, dad was non-papered Great Pyrenees. At 5 months, they are sitting at an estimated 40-50 pounds already, and they will likely reach 100 pounds, probably more. These breeds are intelligent, but also strongly independent. They can and will learn commands, but are bred to be able to make their own decisions, which makes them so useful for guarding livestock. They are big barkers; their job is to make their presence known to any predators in the area, which is usually threatening enough to prevent animal intruders. When they're not guarding outside, they're often lazing about, lots of relaxing and lounging. We want to find them a new home, together or separate, as soon as possible, but please be aware of the instinctual behavior and requirements that comes with this breed mix.
