Mitigation Techinician -Water and Fire Damage Beacon Restoration & Cleaning is a Restoration Industry start up focused on simplification, communication, and urgency. Our mission is to help businesses recover from flood and fire damage with a commonsense approach. If you want to make decisions, partner with service vendors, and work with a GREAT team, Beacon is for you. We are adding to our team due to growth and a passion for service. The lead techinician provides emergency services onsite at our client’s locations 24-7. Those services include responding to water, fire, and man-made damage. This position is considered a hourly position and will be report to the mitigation manager Essential Responsibilities Response and provide services to work orders within a 4-hour radius of Birmingham area (Some overnight travel is required when needed) Provide extraction, disinfecting and cleaning services Measure, photo document, and detail work order services Travel as part of the Beacon Restoration and Cleaning Catastrophe team during surge events (hurricanes, tornado, etc…) Assist in customer service On call 24/7 Activity Provide services in response to work orders as a team leader Monitor and review ongoing work orders and requests Respond to urgent calls Communicate in real time Collect and communicate job site data Qualifications Familiarity with water damage claims and emergency service Willingness to think outside of the box Ability to use Microsoft office, drop box, and Iphone Clean criminal background and driver’s license record IICRC Certifications are a plus Skills Ability to use Text and iPhone Construction knowledge Understanding of extraction tools, dry out equipment, and proper dry out techiniques
