Many of these pets are well cared for, well fed animals who have a home somewhere. If you are currently missing a pet please check at KC Pet Project. The shelter is only able to hold an animal for 5 days to allow an owner to locate and reclaim it. The shelter is FULL and there is no room to intake this many animals every day unless owners come and reclaim them just as quickly. Come in person to the shelter located at Elmwood in Swope Park to see if your missing pet has been found. You can also I lost my wallet this past Tuesday.
