Description
T-shirt making workshop for the whole family at BAX. Nurture your child’s creativity with professional artists! In Artuta’s second in-person Summer workshop, instructors Kosuke and Joan will guide you through the process of decorating your t-shirt using special fabric paint! We’ll start with a warm-up using pens and paper and then, once you’ve decided on a design, our instructors will show you how to apply it to your shirt. Joan and Kosuke will paint alongside you, offering guidance and encouraging you to experiment. T-shirts will be photographed and featured in the Artuta Online Art Gallery. Bring your own t-shirt and we’ll provide the rest! *After the paint dries, you will need to set it by ironing it at home according to the instructions. Our student-centered teaching methodology fosters creativity, concentration, and problem-solving. Through the use of examples and by working along with instructors, students will naturally become familiar with lines, shapes, colors, materials and creative concepts. While students are welcome to follow along with the instructor, we encourage them to explore their own ideas, interests and personalities. Class sizes remain small, only admitting up to five students, in order to cultivate engagement and interactivity. Our students come to us from all over the Eastern Time Zone, which means in addition to becoming young artists, our students make new friends!
