"International Childfree Day is celebrated annually on 1 August and was created in 1973 in the United States the National Alliance for Optional Parenthood, at the time the National Organisation for Non-Parents (N.O.N.), under the name of Non-Parents' Day. It has also been described as "a day of celebration worldwide for those couples who have faced criticism, ridicule, and rejection because they do not have children." (via Wikipedia). We are hosting a mixer on Aug 1 at Biaggi's to gather together and celebrate being childfree. We will have awards, raffle prizes, food and drink, and it's sure to be a lot of fun.
