Take a much-needed mid-week break with EPIC and special guest Romey Swanson. We'll meet at the iconic Mean Eyed Cat for a refreshing beverage and learn a little about some fascinating Texas wildlife. Romey Swanson is the Director of Conservation for Audubon Texas, and with more than 10 years of experience as a Certified Wildlife Biologist and a passion for herping, Romey offers a wealth of knowledge about the Texas Hill Country’s Wildlife Ecology. This event is free and open to anyone 21+, but please RSVP to let us know you're coming! About Romey Swanson: As the Director of Conservation for Audubon Texas, Romey works with state, national, and international partners to identify and advance conservation strategies to benefit birds, landscapes, and the communities that depend on them. He has spent over a decade as a private lands biologist and technical guidance consultant working on a variety of land and wildlife conservation issues throughout Texas. Romey is a Certified Wildlife Biologist and President of the Texas Chapter of the Wildlife Society—Texas’ largest professional society of wildlife managers and researchers. About EPIC: Emerging Professionals In Conservation (EPIC) is a group of outdoor recreation enthusiasts, ages 21-40s, who connect through outdoor adventures, educational events, volunteerism, and philanthropy. EPIC membership dues directly support the work of Hill Country Conservancy, including the Violet Crown Trail, to ensure that future generations of Texans are able to enjoy the same beautiful landscapes and outdoor recreation opportunities that we do!
