Join us as we create a Biodiversity Sanctuary at the Maryknoll Sisters grounds. Join us July 10 and 24th and learn to build water optimizing landscape features that will help capture and conserve water on your property. A Bioswale - is a vegetated, shallow, landscaped depressions designed to capture, treat, and infiltrate stormwater runoff as it moves downstream. Hugelkutur- are no-dig raised beds with a difference. They hold moisture, build fertility, maximize surface volume and are great spaces for growing fruit, vegetables and herbs. The event is free however all donations go toward helping the sisters at Maryknoll develop a Biodiversity Sanctuary and community space on their 6 acre property.
