I am an independent carpenter / handyman and I have list of about 60 clients that often need something to be fix in their houses Most times is stuff for one or two persons but lately I been working on bigger job as bathroom remodels and kitchen remodel for two real state agents and word of mouth. I really love what I do and I do it w passion ! I do many trades but mostly all kinds of carpentry( rough and finishing) I can do decks, pergolas, additions and much more ! I also do rough concrete, some electrical and lots of home maintenance. currently I am finishing a bathroom remodel and moving to two kitchen remodels right after and also a big dry root repair so I quite busy w guaranteed work. I am looking for someone that have the basic knowledge of carpentry and has basic hand tools and a tool belt ! I can guarantee you about 4 days a week (32 hours ) and if you are really good and not afraid of work I can find more work for you ! we will work most times from 8 am to 4 pm and we will get paid 29 minutes lunch break usually around noon we will work most weekends and take 2 midweek days off usually rotate days depending on work I am terrible strict but at the same time if you comply you will see my soft side. I am also a working boss so, you will be working w me most time I will be pushing you to be better everyday ! I known for quality and high end work and I do not do "mickey mouse" jobs or cut corners most of my clients are in high end residential areas and job are always good **Because at some point you will do dump runs and lumber Runs (ON MY TRUCK ) It is important that you have a VALID California driver licence. a Must ! if you do not have it DO NOT APPLY ** Is also important that you have a reliable transportation we will work mainly Oakland hills / Berkeley / Kensington and we are always moving to different jobs ** You Must be able to lift and carry 80 lb bags of concrete for 50 feet (retaining wall to be done in September ) **No carpentry experience, no problem but some experience in other trade will put you ahead ! ** MUST be punctual and I wil give you 3 strikes: 1st day late I will talk two you, 2nd day I will make you wait to round up next half hour, 3rd time late I will send you home to think about if you really want your job. ** need to listen and follow directions as told (almost military style) ** you will be timed on your shores and if you need to improve your times I will tell you right away. ** here is some of your responsibilities as you will move up the ladder: assist to : set up / brake down work station, carry tools in and out of the truck, get lumber closer to work area, clean up at the end of day. assist to dome some basic carpentry stuff (cut, finish nailing, install blocking) demolition, load truck w debris etc. the more you you learn the less you will be doing that ! I wil pay you cash depending on experience and attitude but can start at 22.00 hour and lunch time paid ! after a moth and you show progress will bump it to 25.00 per hour cash (equals to about $ 32 on payroll ) If after all the above does not scare you please tell me about yourself and your work experience and your goals over the next year I do need to see a resume lets keep it really casual I will reply to you and ask you additional questions.
