Waynesville Inn and Golf Club is seeking several hard-working applicants to assist in our golf course renovation and grow in. The Golf Course Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the golf course in a way that projects pride and attention to detail. If you love instant, visual recognition when a task is completed correctly, then you may be made for this position. Applicants must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time, and able to lift 50 lbs. routinely. All our team members must take detailed pride in their work and being part of a team.
Essential Job Functions:
Daily maintenance of golf course and grounds which includes but not limited to walk mowing, bunker raking, general landscaping, or involvement with course projects.
Handle guests’ questions and concerns promptly, professionally, and courteously.
Regular operation of various associated equipment such as lawn mower, blower, weed eater and golf/work cart.
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment.
Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.
High school or equivalent education preferred. Previous golf course or landscaping experience preferred, but not required. Drivers license preferred. Scheduled days and time vary based on needs. Must be able to work weekends and some holidays. Pre-employment background check required.
