Landmark University's Caroline Nichols, Esq. is teaming up with Ray Dezern, Esq. from Heekin Law to bring you a Estate and Probate Class. During this class, you will learn what to do when your client is deceased and will be able to identify if their estate needs to be probated, how to discuss probate at a listing appointment and how it affects title. This class is a must attend for all real estate professionals. * Caroline Nichols is a Jacksonville native and has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2002. Her legal practice focuses on commercial and residential real estate representing buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate developers, landlords, tenants, and condominium and homeowners’ associations. Prior to joining Landmark, Ms. Nichols practiced real estate law with the local law firms Pappas Metcalf Jenks & Miller, P.A., and Jimerson & Cobb, P.A., and served as in-house counsel for a boutique real estate development group. Additionally, Ms. Nichols served as a Professor at Florida Coastal School of Law where she taught Property Law, Residential Real Estate Transactions, and Transactional Drafting. * Ray Elizabeth Dezern is a Jacksonville native and graduate of Wolfson High School. After graduating from the University of Florida with a Degree in Economics, she returned to Jacksonville to attend Florida Coastal School of Law. She was lucky enough to begin her legal career working alongside her father, Roy E. Dezern, practicing in a variety of areas of law including Probate, Estate Planning, Family Law, Contract and Real Estate Law. Ms. Dezern prides herself in helping those in need and assisting clients as they are faced with unexpected challenges. Her practice is in probate, guardianship and estate planning.
