Join the Bruce Beach Stewardship Community (BBSC) for a final opportunity to gather at Bruce Beach before City Construction begins in the park in August. The BBSC is seeking community input and involvement in plans to transform a degraded part of the park back into a beautiful, thriving natural ecosystem. The BBSC is seeking individuals and organizations who are interested in working together to weed out invasive plants, plant native species, and upkeep the natural sections. All morning, the organizations within the BBSC will be set up, providing attendees with: - education about Bruce Beach, including a walking tour, "Bruce Beach Before Construction Changes Everything," (8 - 9 am) - opportunities to learn more about and purchase native plants (8 - 11 am) - local, live music (8 - 10 am) - educational speakers (10 - 11 am) - networking opportunities to meet other environmentally-minded people Come by anytime to check things out, learn more about plans from Bruce Beach, buy native plants and #support your local native plant nursery, meet like-minded people, and learn how to get more involved!
