Sherwin Greenblatt is the former president of Bose Corporation and now serves as Chairman of the MIT Venture Mentoring Service.
The mentoring service at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) supports innovation and entrepreneurial activity by matching prospective entrepreneurs with experienced volunteer mentors.
MIT has partnered with The Spring, a part of the Studer Community Institute, to train local business leaders to be more effective mentors and work with the mentoring service with Pensacola area businesses.
He was the first employee hired by Dr. Amar Bose, his former professor at MIT, and as the company grew, held the positions of project engineer, chief engineer, director of engineering, executive vice president and for 15 years he was president.
He also has served as executive vice president and treasurer of MIT.
Greenblatt remains a board of directors member of the Bose Corporation and also is an outside advisor and board member to a number of start-up companies.
He earned bachelors and masters degrees in electrical engineering from MIT.
