Description

*** CREATIVE IMPROV DRUMMER NEEDED *** Project: SPARKWOOD & TWENTY ONE *** Serious inquires only please. *** I am 45 and have been playing music since I was 15. I played for 6 years in the band Colorado Floyd and looking to start an original project with like minded musician on the Westside COS/Manitou Springs. I play keyboard, organ, synth, and sing. You must be talented, confident, and have a great attitude about playing music and enjoying friendships. Looking to develop a unique and fun sound, possible album, but defiantly playing live. NO EGOS WANTED. Fellow musician characteristics: Someone confident and musically capable of holding their own, with a good ear and creativity in extended jams and live improv playing. You need to be dependable, that’s the only way any of this works and be productive and fun. Rehearsals: Once a week? Every other week? Whatever works for everyone involved. This is a project and not meant to be a fulltime job. I already have one of those. Rehearsal space: I live on the very west end of Manitou Springs and have no available space to set up a permanent rehearsal space, so this goes back to finding musicians on the Westside of COS; the easier it is to work rehearsals into daily life, the more effective they will be. Band size: 4 musicians at most with a manageable equipment/stage footprint, anything beyond that and you drastically reduce the types of smaller venues and stages available in the greater COS region. I have played all over Colorado, and this is the case throughout the state. It is what it is. Equipment: I have tons of equipment that I have acquired over the decades, the only thing I do not have is a mixer or PA speakers. Timeline: I am looking to start the project in late Spring, June timeframe. I personally need to knock a little dust off on my playing. I would like to shoot for Fall ’22 to have a 3-hour show in place to start gigging. Starting off slow, maybe one shows a month to see how the sound and our chemistry progresses. Does this sound interesting to you? Message me. -Michael
