Who we are: Lulu’s is a South Austin family-owned bar seeking out all bar staff positions for our grand opening in September. We’re located just behind Parlay House and next door to Lustre Pearl South. Our family prides ourselves in hard work and craftsmanship. We plan on carrying our family values into our new adventure and being that half of our owners were born in Mexico City and the other half were born in Austin, we hope that you can join us in being a part of something huge and bringing a small part of Mexico City to our hometown. What's the vibe: Mexican inspired bar with desert boho vibes, unique drink selection paired with the perfect blend of spanish and hip-hop music. What we need…. Bartenders: If you've ever been to Mexico City you know the vibe were going for…warm colors, live greenery, clean and classy environment. Hispanic culture takes a lot of pride not only in their workspace, but in their products and customer service. That is precisely what we’re looking for. We need hard workers with fun personalities and a bit of individuality. Bilingual is a huge plus, but not required. Tattoos and piercings are welcome, I mean c’mon, we live in Austin. We're in need of bartenders who will entertain, engage and connect with guests. We want our guests to feel at home when they visit our bar, not just the typical “whatcha drinkin’” service. We’d like our bartenders to have at least 2 years of experience behind the bar. If you have a great personality and good work ethic, we can work with you if you don’t have 2 years of experience Requirements: - Bar knowledge, bartending experience 2 year preferred - TABC certification - Food Handlers certificate - Meet physical job requirements of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for 6-10 hour periods - Have a positive attitude and ability to take direction plus a strong attention to detail - Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task - Reliable transportation - Valid drivers license - Background check We have plenty of positions to fill, full time and part time and opportunities for advancement Lead bartender 10/hr plus tips Bartender 8.00/hr plus tips Door Staff: We’re looking for the perfect balance of making customers feel welcome but also knowing when its time to not let someone in, or kindly ask them to leave. Off duty first responders are a plus! $15/hr plus tip out. Hours will vary however more than likely will be Thurs- Fri 7pm-2am and Sat-Sun 12pm-2am Requirements: - TABC certification - Meet physical job requirements of standing and sitting for 6-10 hour periods - Have a positive attitude and great situational awareness - Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task - Reliable transportation - Valid drivers license - Background check Barback: Positions needed Thursday nights, Friday nights, Saturday all day and Sunday all day. Position duties include but are not limited to, collecting glassware, running trash, restocking, clearing tables, attending bathrooms. $15/hour plus tip out.
