Bass guitar looking to join/form a rock band

Description

I'm interested mainly in covering 90's alternative/grunge songs or even a tribute band. Favorite bands are AiC, PJ, Silverchair(first 2 albums), Nirvana, ETC. There's a special spot in my heart for GnR which is the reason I got into playing an instrument in the first place. So if there's a chance to form a GNR cover band that would be amazing! Additionally, I could work on original material too but covers is my main interest for now. I have been playing rhythm guitar for over 10 years now but recently started my transition to bass so it's fair to say I;m a beginner bass player. I can't play a thousand notes per second but I can keep the tempo and feel the grove of the song. I have always played for what's best for the song instead of what makes me look cool anyway. I have a family and a 9-5 job so my free time is limited but I love playing music so much I'm not willing to live without it I'm available to jam once a week mostly Saturday evenings. I'd like to play in front of people every now and then but not really looking for another job. I have my own equipment and car so I can travel to rehearsal place, anything within 30 minutes from the South Lowell area. I'm in my early 40's so ideally you'd be 30 to50? Not set on stone though Thank you for reading!
