Hazard Construction Company is looking for an experienced Mechanic. The Mechanic is responsible inspecting and repairing vehicles, machinery and construction equipment. The ideal candidate must be a team player, highly organized, detail orientated, and has the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Communicate with other employees by phone & email in a clear and concise manner • Use web browsers to research various items • Enter, maintain and ensure accuracy of maintenance records in accordance with company guidelines. • Scan fault codes, diagnose and perform needed repairs to various trucks and/or equipment • Perform repairs to small equipment, generators, saws, pumps, etc. • Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs Skills: • Prior heavy equipment mechanic experience required • Solid knowledge of hydraulic systems • Light fabrication capabilities • Welding Certification (preferred) • Excellent verbal communication skills to accurately report diagnostic findings to Supervisors. • Excellent interpersonal skills with employees, senior managers, and other external parties. • The ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate multiple tasks. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential as is the ability to work extended hours when timeline requires MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR FORMAL TRAINING, YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND/OR SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the mechanic field, including heavy construction equipment. • Self-motivated and proactive solution seeker. • An outgoing, positive attitude while working alone and with a team All Hazard Construction positions require satisfactory completion of a physical ability test and clean drug and alcohol screening.
