Description
The skinny/TL;DR
Electric Guitar Player needed for Funk/Rock Band. First gig set for September. Send us an example of your playing and we can send over some demos! If we dig it, come jam with us this Saturday (or a different date if that doesn’t work and we like your demo). We're all in our late 20s and we practice out in Park Ridge.
The long version:
What's up Craiglisters! We’re Naked Brunch [working title]. We’re a new band in Chicago building our first set. We’re a little funky, a little rock and roll, a little experimental. Which is to say, we’re still playing with our style.
We have our first gig lined up for September, but our guitar player had to drop out. We’ve got 5+ songs ready to go, and are in the process of creating more. We’re feeling the momentum and are hoping to keep it going.
Are you a sick guitar player? Are you game to write and collaborate on new music? Hit us up for samples and if you vibe with what we’re working on and think you could contribute to the direction, come out and jam with us!
We’re holding auditions this Saturday out in Park Ridge (we rehearse out there once a week, though we’re looking to find a rehearsal space closer into the city).
POC, LBTQ+ and female musicians are very welcome. Diversity is the motherfucking future! We’re looking for someone who can bring themselves fully to our rehearsals, speak from their experience, and collaborate to make some great songs. Our singer/lyricist is queer, so if you aren’t comfortable with that or our lyrics not being heteronormative, get yourself a time machine and try a 1960s classified!
