Bassist Wanted for Affluent Bums

Hey there! We are Affluent Bums, a Skate-Punk band from Chicago. We lean on the Ska thang too! We've been around for about 3-4 years now, recently our bassist took a hike. We're looking for someone who is reliable, has their own gear, transportation and knows their shit. Ideally looking for someone between the ages of 25 and 40, flexible on that for the right person - we are all in our early 30s. We would like someone who knows their way around some theory, a tab and a chord chart with fluidity. We make charts for every tune, and we have recordings/demos; we set YOU up for success! We practice in our singer's recording studio in Jefferson Park, which also functions as our jam space. We have played mostly around the Chicago and North Suburbs areas, looking to expand our reach more. We have 2 EPs on streaming platforms, 2 music videos and a full length LP on the way. Current focus for this year other than playing shows and securing a new bassist are: finishing the LP, growing our merch program and some live studio performances. Having a recording engineer and a pro film guy in the band, we have a lot of resources to do whatever we need to... now we just need the right dang bassist to fit the mold. We love the work of Matt Freeman of Rancid, Suicide Machines, NOFX, etc. Aspirations for the future: we wanna be on that Riot Fest stage one day.
