Bud Herbert Motors, Cincinnati's largest John Deere turf dealer is currently seeking a full-time set up technician. No experience necessary except for a passion for workmanship and attention to details. Purpose: Assembles and services all types of out door power equipment offered for sale by the dealership. Prepares equipment for delivery to the customer or for demonstration purposes. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Service Location Manager, Shop Foreman or senior technicians. Responsibilities: o Assembles and services all types of out door power equipment, and other merchandise offered for sale by the dealership o Performs pre-delivery inspection on all types of equipment and other merchandise offered for sale by the dealership o Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required in the set-up and delivery process o Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion o Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments o Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments o Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties o May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge: o Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up processes o Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow manufacturer’s pre-delivery instructions o Ability to use basic computer functions o Fundamental level of knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by the Dealership o Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly o High School Diploma or equivalent recommended but not required o Valid driver’s license required o Fork lift license preferred Qualifications: · Integrity, Honesty, Respect · Effective communication skills · Hard work ethic · Strong Attention to Details · Ability to work with others · Pride in Workmanship · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment · Enthusiasm for vehicles is a plus No experience necessary but helpful. Mechanical aptitude and desire to work with yours hands a must! Must own basic hand tools or be willing to purchase if hired •Salary based on experience.
