LOST BIRD Hello, our Meyers Parrot flew out and open window the afternoon of the 3rd. West Salem, behind the Safeway. Please call or if you see him. His name is Oscar. He’s got a yellow patch on his forehead, grey head and wings, and a turquoise underbelly. Update from the 4th; I had eyes on Oscar all day, had his cage moved to the backyard in his line of sight, made a bed for myself out next to the cage on the chaise lounge, and was watching him screw up his courage to think about coming down, I hoped it would happen tomorrow, and then somebody lit off a mortar and he flew into the war zone. Aurally terrifying and disorienting, visually assaultive, completely incomprehensible- I’m pretty sure I’ve lost him for good.
