Mountain Bike with problems in S suburb: answer questions to claim
Events
Glenwood IL
Description
This bicycle is not for sale. The intention is to give it back to the rightful owner. Recently, this bike with mechanical flaws was found on the side of a road near I-80 in a South Suburb of Chicago. It looks like a Schwinn, but it's made by Pacific. In short, this starts to be a junky bike simply because Walmart sells Pacific-manufactured Schwinn's. Shwinn is not necessarily a high quality bike. There was a different thing (not pictured) found with the bike, which will not be named now. The place it was found, and the shape it was in when found both indicate the owner did not care about losing it. It appears to have fallen off of a moving vehicle, or was intentionally thrown off a moving vehicle. It seems like it was abandonded. Why? 1) It's a Pacific. 2) It had and has problems. There is a chance someone lifted it, and then ditched it because they got nervous. Most bikes you'd find in the garbage have problems- as this one does- but the location was not in a garbage, but was not on private property either. So let's start find the rightful owner. 1) If you think you're good at guessing, or perhaps you're feeling lucky, please call this number: 2) If you want the bike to support a bad habit, please call this number: ANSWER QUESTIONS RIGHT TO CLAIM: The real owner should be able answer the first question correctly, then 2 out of 4 of the remaining 4 questions. This was made difficult for guessers and easy for the real owner. 1) [this step is required]: Describe or name 2 of 3 mechanical problems (including broken parts) this bike has or had. HINT: 2 of the 3 problems could be determined by looking at its condition at the time it was found. 1 of 3 of the problems could be determined if ridden in the about several weeks up until the time discovered. [rightful owner must satisfy 2 of the next 4 points] 2) About where was this lost, and about when was it lost? Hint: Along Interstate 80. 3) What thing was lost along with this bike (not a bike part, but a separate thing)? 4) Owner could present a receipt showing previous purchase of this bicycle, with the price, date, and perhaps a model number that matches with the bike's model number. 5) Fill in all remaining blanks: Brand: Schwinn Model Name: Model Number: Frame material: Wheel size: Rim size (diameter): CONDITION: Why wasn't this brought to authorities? Answer: They're not going to go through this amount of lengths to find the rightful owner, then might get auctioned to someone who doesn't deserve it. Maybe it will eventually. CALL.
