Scope of work: Build new platform deck approx.. size 8 feet by 5 feet with A frame roof over and 4 foot wide stair stairs centered in front of platform. DEMO: Remove existing concrete stairs and top row of block off platform.. FRAMING- Frame new platform approx.. 5 feet by 8 feet. using pressure treated lumber. Install pressure treated 2 X 8 deck joist every 12” on center. Install 2 X 8 joist hangers. Install hurricane straps on all deck joist.. Install pressure treated 4 X 4 posts every 6 feet on center for new PVC railings. Install solid blocking around posts and lag bolt. Build A frame roof using Douglas fir lumber. Frame 2 X 8 roof rafters 16” on center with 2 X 10 ridge beam. Install 2 X 6 ceiling joists. Install 1 X 6 pine on roof rafter ends. Install 7/16 OSB plyboard roof sheathing. Support roof with 2 4 X 4 posts at each corner of roof. Install hurricane straps as required. Build 4 foot wide stairs center of porch using 2 X 12 stringers. ROOF- Cut back roof where needed. Install ice and water shield on eves of roof. Install #15 pound felt paper over sheathing. Install matching roof shingles. Install roll ridge vent and cap ridge. VINYL SOFFIT- Install sold vented solid vinyl soffit panels underneath roof ceiling. Install custom bent aluminum over fascia boards. Install seamless gutters and leaders on new A frame roof. Patch in siding where stairs were removed. Owner to supply siding. DECKING- Install New Tech Wood Ultra Shield Naturale composite decking, Owner to select color. Install undermount clip system.. Install white composite trim boards around box beam of deck. Install skirting board around bottom of platform using composite material, same as decking to cover concrete porch.Install composite stair treads with white composite risers to box in stairs. Ins PVC RAILINGS- Install white PVC posts sleeves over pressure treated posts, include full posts. Install white weatherable 2 X 2 square spindle railings around deck. COMPOSITE TRIM-Install 1 X 6 composite trim on gable A frame-owner to paint trim before Remodeling Network installs. SKIRTING COMPOSITE BOARDS- Install composite skirting boards around bottom of deck to cover concrete. Install pressure treated firring and nail composite boards. Install white 11 X 4 composite base trim around bottom of foundation of porch.
