Description
Well, the headline pretty much says most of it, huh? Bottom line: I want to start playing regularly again, whether it’s just in the studio or gigging.
I’m in my late 40s and do the weekday 9–5 thing; available most evenings and weekends.
I play drums (very “pocket” style / groove-oriented player), guitar (more rhythm than lead) and bass.
Most of my experience was in my 20s and 30s as a drummer in “originals” bands that did some regional touring and residencies. More recently, I’ve dabbled in “covers” bands on an all instruments and found I really liked it.
I’ve got a large home studio with a full backline (amps, drums, etc.) and a PA, and I want to do more with it than just occasionally jamming with my buddies.
I’m totally open to what instrument(s) I’d play and what songs we’d do, but my preference would be to play rhythm guitar or bass. For now, I’d be willing to bounce around guitar/bass and drums, depending on who’s there and what we’re playing.
Of course, I’m VERY interested in hearing from anybody that already has a band or is putting one together.
But hey, enough of my yakkin’…let’s boogie!
