One of the top 10 bike events in Wisconsin per Travel Wisconsin! There are rides for people of all ages and abilities. Registrations go to support programs and services of Shawano Pathways, whose mission is to promote tourism, economic growth, healthier living, family fun, and greater opportunities for exercise. Six scenic routes varying in distance from 17 to 70 miles will be offered. Beautiful quilt patterns are showcased and enhanced by the fall colors. Check-in for all events at Memorial Athletic Park in Shawano. Traffic control will be provided for the downtown areas and major intersections (these are not closed routes.) Prices increase the closer it gets to the event. Early Bird pricing ends on August 31st, Standard pricing ends the day before the event, and the final increase is the Day Of the event. You’re required to check-in before beginning the ride at Memorial Park. Check-in will also be available at our BBQ and Bluegrass event the night before the bike ride. Search Eventbrite or our website for additional details about our BBQ and Bluegrass event. 16 Mile - Red River Ride: Traveling west on the Mountain Bay Trail will eventually bring Thornton followed by a beautiful stretch along the Red River.  (2 food stations) 21 Mile - Guided Ride: View more than 20 quilts as you bike much of the Gresham route.  A knowledgeable guide will provide information on farm and quilt patterns at each of the stops.  Includes a special booklet.  (1 food station, but dedicated SAG truck with water and snacks at each stop) 37 Mile - Gresham Ride: You'll pass 25 quilts on this route that travels north and west out of Shawano.   After a steep hill, enjoy Gresham's downtown and some refreshments.  Please be aware that this route includes riding on Highway 47 for approximately two miles.  (2 food stations) 40 Mile - Bonduel Ride: Enjoy a few more hills than the Gresham route while taking in scenic vistas.  This route is part of the 70 mile route and shares food stations in Cecil and Bonduel.  (2 food stations) 53 Mile - Red Springs Ride: This route is based off the 37 mile Gresham route but has an additional loop to add miles of beauty.  (3 food stations) 70 Mile - Pulaski Ride: This ride has the experienced biker in mind.  You should be comfortable crossing and riding along major highways for short distances.  There are more than 30 barn quilts for you to view as you travel along winding wooded roads around Shawano Lake, through scenic hilly farming country, past an Amish community, as well as Cecil, Pulaski, and Bonduel (4 food stations, with one being self-service) Important Times: 7:00 AM - Check-in Begins7:30 AM - Breakfast Opens8:00 AM - Opening Ceremony8:25 AM - Shawano Bike Club Takes Off8:30 AM - 40 & 70 Mile Rides Take Off8:40 AM - 37 & 53 Mile Rides Take Off8:50 AM - 21 Guided Ride Takes Off9:00 AM - 16 Mile Ride Takes Off11:30 AM - Lunch Opens3:30 PM - Kitchen ClosesWhat You Should Know: All routes begin and end at Memorial Park in ShawanoParking is available on Elizabeth Street across from the parkThe event is scheduled rain or shineChildren ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adultBasic bike check available at startSupport vehicles will be on all routes that will provide basic bike tools for YOUR use or provide a pick-up and return to the park, if necessaryRoutes have rest stops with food/waterYou must wear a helmetWe encourage you to bring a mobile phone in case of emergencyTraffic laws should be obeyed at all timesYour registration includes continental breakfast and a lunchAdditional information available at: www.ShawanoPathways.org FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?  There are no minimum age requirements.  However, children ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?  There is no public transportation.  You are encouraged to park in the lot on Elizabeth Street across from the park. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?  You're encouraged to print and bring your registration confirmation to the event to make the check-in process easier. Is my registration fee or ticket transferable?  Registrations are not transferable.
