You’re warmly invited to join friends, staff, and board members of SouthEast Effective Development (SEED) and SEEDArts for Rainier Arts Center’s 100th birthday party! Built in 1921, Rainier Arts Center has been an affordable, multicultural gathering place and performing arts venue for our Southend communities for more than 25 years. The Center welcomes 500+ creatives and 18,000+ attendees at cultural and community events annually. In 2019, SEEDArts began an extensive renovation of Rainier Arts Center, updating the building’s layout, amenities, and technology to create a professional-caliber performance experience. Now, 3+ years and a global pandemic later, we're thrilled to be able to share the results. Schedule of events: 5:00pm – 7:00pm Porch Festival Performances from Southeast Seattle favorites ADEFUA Cultural Education Workshop and Ben Hunter & Joe Seamons (Outdoors, Columbia Park) 7:00pm – 8:30pm Reception including refreshments from Chef Tarik Abdullah of Feed The People and behind-the-scenes tours of the newly renovated Rainier Arts Center (Indoors, Rainier Arts Center Auditorium & Event Hall) Tickets: This event is free and open to the public, but space at the reception is limited.
