The Arlington Football Showdown brings together two Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Texas Southern University and Southern University of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. The Showdown takes place September 17, 2022, at Choctaw Stadium, formally the historic Globe Life Park in the great city of Arlington, Texas. Annually thousands of faculty, students, alumni, and fans flock to these major college reunion events. Lone Star Sports Inc. creates a welcoming environment to highlight the rich traditions of HBCUs and provide North Texas residents with a full festive experience. The focus is to increase awareness of participating universities and positively impact Dallas/Fort Worth residents, businesses, and attendees. Over the next few years, the Arlington Football Showdown looks to establish innovative partnerships with companies that share our continuous learning values, community commitment, and vision for economic development.
