The Austin Fiber Artists invites everyone to come to our annual Open House on July 12th at 7 pm- 8:30. If you create using any type of fiber- string, yarn, cloth, fleece, paper- you are a fiber artist! Come meet others who share your interests and have some fiber fun! We have... ACTIVITIES: • Make puffy woven hearts that can be hung as ornaments or contain a small item. • Make fabric collage peace flags to wish the world well or just brighten someone’s day. ATTRACTIONS: • Take home some FREE fiber treasures at the donation table. • Or put out stuff you’ve been meaning to pass on to an appreciative home. • See the show-and-tell items in person and learn more about fiber techniques. SPECIAL GUEST ATTRACTION: • The Stuffed Animal Rescue Foundation’s adoptable rescues will be on display- meet the S.A.R.F. founder Wendy and learn about her (fiber arts based) work! • Check out Wendy’s fun action videos on youtube- search for S.A.R.F or go to www.thesarf.org REFRESHMENTS: • Light summer refreshments to socialize with on a hot July evening.
