This premier fundraising event allows us to invite stakeholders to learn about the organization, celebrate our successes, honor award recipients, and highlight our 21st Century Civil Rights agenda. The Gala will take place on October 22nd at the Blue Water Convention Center, 800 Harker St, Port Huron, MI 48060. The networking reception will take place at 5:30 pm, and the gala and program will start at 6:15 pm. The NAACP has always been known for working around advocacy for minorities based on our Game Changers for the 21st century: Economic Sustainability, Education, Health, Public Safety/Criminal Justice, and Voting Rights/Political Representation. We are highly honored to be in our 100th year of operation. In 100 years a lot of progress has been made but we still have a long way to go until we achieve our goal of ending race-based discrimination and ensuring the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights for African Americans and all of the other minority groups who have historically been disenfranchised. The annual Freedom Fund Gala is the premier fundraising event for the organization. It provides the NAACP with the opportunity to invite stakeholders from the community to learn about the organization, celebrate our successes, honor award recipients and most importantly highlight our 21st Century Game Changers Civil Rights agenda.
